Match Production is looking for a portrait photographer based in South America for a one-year remote headshot project. You’ll work with clients using their phone camera, helping them find usable light, position the camera and feel comfortable in front of it.
This work calls for a photographer who can see what needs to change and explain it simply. A small adjustment to camera height, posture or expression can make a difference; the client needs clear direction they can follow from their own space.
What you’ll do
- Review the portrait brief and coordinate session arrangements with our producer.
- Guide the client’s lighting, camera position, background and framing during the session.
- Direct posture, posing and expression with patience and attention to the person being photographed.
- Help resolve basic setup or connection difficulties and flag anything that prevents a suitable session.
- Follow the agreed visual direction and coordinate the image handoff and any session notes with the team.
What makes a good fit
- A portrait or headshot portfolio that shows thoughtful lighting, composition and expression.
- Experience directing people who are unfamiliar with being photographed.
- Clear spoken English and the ability to give practical instructions remotely.
- A reliable internet connection, clear audio and a quiet workspace for live sessions.
- An organized approach to scheduling, communication and agreed session times.
Experience directing virtual photography sessions is useful. Tell us about it if you have it, and include examples where available.
